MoU Signing between STIESIA Surabaya and Phuket Rajabhat University, Thailand

On Monday 3 February 2020, Indonesia School of Economics (STIESIA) Surabaya had a chance to visit Phuket Rajabhat University, Thailand. STIESIA Surabaya represented by The President of STIESIA, Associate Professor Dr. Nur Fadjrih Asyik, and Head of International Affairs Assistant Professor Sulistyo Budi Utomo., Ph.D.

The President of STIESIA, Associate Professor Dr. Nur Fadjrih Asyik, and Head of International Affairs Assistant Professor Sulistyo Budi Utomo., Ph.D along with the Rector and lecturers of Phuket Rajabhat Univeristy, Thailand

The representatives of STIESIA were warmly welcomed by the President and lecturers of Phuket Rajabhat University, Thailand. The visit aimed to discuss and sign the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between STIESIA and Phuket Rajabhat University. Specifically, STIESIA has collaboration with Phuket College of International Tourism (PCIT) as a part of Phuket Rajabhat University.

President of STIESIA Surabaya Associate Professor Dr. Nur Fadjrih Asyik and Head of International Affairs Assistant Professor Sulistyo Budi Utomo., Ph.D stayed in Thailand for about seven days or a week to sign and do another activity for example, visiting scholar.

Visiting scholar is the activity when the guest lecturers give a lecture to the host students. However, the difference between visiting scholar and guest lecture is that visiting scholar has longer duration. Both Associate Professor Dr. Nur Fadjrih Asyik and Assistant Professor Sulistyo Budi Utomo., Ph.D did visiting scholar for about three days started from date 4 up to 6 of February 2020.

Both STIESIA Surabaya and Phuket Rajabhat University hope that the collaboration could be beneficial for both institutions in the near future. As a result for the collaboration, the students of STIESIA have a chance to study in Thailand and an opportunity to have international experience as well as cultural exchange experience.
