The STIESIA PkM team, consisting of Mrs. Nenny Syahrenny, S.E., M.Ak., Ak., CA, ACPA., Mr. Anton Eko Yulianto, S.E., M.M, Mrs. Emi Kusmaeni, S.E., M.Ak., Mrs. Iffah Qonitah, S.E., M.Si., Ak., CA., and Mrs. Astri Fitria, S.E., M.Si., Ak., CA, was also assisted by two STIESIA students, Roudlotul Fitriyah and Ja’far Shodiq.
In this bimtek, which was attended by at least 15 SMEs involved in household goods production located in RT 02 RW 02, Kebonsari Candi Village, the participants were found to lack proper financial administration and had not complied with the SAK EMKM (Financial Accounting Standards for Micro, Small, and Medium Entities). This situation made it difficult to track the business turnover clearly.
To address this issue, the STIESIA PkM team provided guidance on financial transaction recording. The participants were educated on the importance of recording all financial transactions to help them make informed decisions for the future growth of their businesses. With this training, the SME owners are expected to be capable of keeping books in accordance with SAK EMKM standards.
In addition to this issue, many of the SME participants had not fully utilized digital tools to boost sales, mainly due to a lack of dedicated staff and limited human resources. To resolve this challenge, the SMEs were introduced to the importance of utilizing digital technology as a means of business development in the digital age, enabling them to compete in a broader market.
Furthermore, the SMEs were provided with insights into how to develop well-thought-out and strategic marketing plans. They were encouraged to expand their market reach beyond their existing customers, leveraging digital platforms such as online marketplaces.
The SMEs attending the event showed a strong interest and seriousness in engaging with the material presented by the five lecturers. During the bimtek, pre-tests and post-tests were conducted to assess the participants’ knowledge before and after the session.
