The research revealed that out of the 27 villages analyzed, 21 were identified with strong potential for BUMDesa development. This study involved a detailed analysis of human resources, natural resources, institutions, infrastructure, and economic potential in each village.

The mapping process was conducted through several strategic steps, including:

Socialization of BUMDesa establishment plans, Formation of working teams. Data collection and analysis. Reporting and recommendations. Village deliberations. Preparation of policy briefs. Submission of final reports. Each village demonstrated unique strengths based on its respective potential. A SWOT analysis was employed to identify strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats, aiding in the development of tailored strategies.

Based on the findings, several recommendations were proposed for village officials and local governments, including:

  1. Engaging the Community: Actively involving community members in BUMDesa operations to enhance their contribution.

By implementing these recommendations, BUMDesa is expected to operate optimally, positively impacting village economies and improving community welfare.

The results of this study and its recommendations are anticipated to serve as a guideline for village officials and communities in building resilient and competitive BUMDesa enterprises. The Sidoarjo Regency Government has expressed its commitment to continuously supporting the establishment and development of BUMDesa as part of its efforts to strengthen village economic independence.
